What got me interested in false lashes?
I was never a fan of my natural lashes, I always felt they were too short and lacked volume compared to some of my friends. I started to notice I was looking more tired in the mornings and was trying to compensate with more makeup, which led to breakouts and irritated eyes.

I wanted an easy way to enhance my everyday look, without the use of more makeup. I started to get advertisements for false lashes on Instagram and LOVED how effortless the girls looked, but I quickly became overwhelmed with the number of options on the market.

With the help of a make-up artist friend, I tested the top natural-looking false on the market for ease of use, comfort, style, and price.
All the lash brands I tested
My process for testing false lashes
1. Wore each false lash for an entire day: We wanted to ensure we gave each lash the same amount of use time.

2. Applied lashes in the morning to a clean face: This ensured nothing disrupted the adhesive for each lash.

3. Graded each lash based on the following criteria
 Ease of application
✅ Natural look, good for everyday wear
✅ Comfort and durability
✅ Fit on the lid
✅ Volume and fullness
✅ Price

4. Selected a winner based on results: We ranked each lash on a score of 1-5 for each of the different criteria and summed up the results.
I had my friend help me take photos while I tried on each lash and took notes on each one!

Cons

Too many marketing emails
The Doe lashes blended perfectly with my own !
♥️ What I love ️
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITES!! After trying out 11 different eyelash brands, Doe Beauty was the obvious winner for an everyday natural and fresh look! As someone new to false lashes, I was nervous about applying, but these were by far the easiest to work with - the band is just the right thickness to make placement super simple without making them bulky and heavy on the lid.

They feel super soft and light on my eyes, and the clear band looks so natural that I started getting compliments on my look without anyone realizing I was wearing fake lashes. The wispy, feathered style gives me just the right amount of volume - not too dramatic for work but still pretty enough for going out with friends.

Another huge plus is that the Doe lashes are made with 100% Korean silk, so they're gentle on my real lashes and stay comfortable all day long without any itching or irritation.
👎 What could be better
Not a huge deal, but I had to take a few points off, given you can only order them from their website. I can't wait for them to be available at Sephora. I also wasn't a huge fan of their marketing emails which were a little overboard.
loved the wispy effect at the ends <3
RUNNER UP: #2 out of 10
Eyelure
4.5/5.0
Lash Type: Reusable Adhesive
Best for: Upturned and almond shaped eyes
Number of Uses: 10+
Ease of Application: Average
Check Price
Pros
Good for day and going out
Came with adhesive
Shaped well to my eye
Clear lightweight band
Relatively easy to apply
Cons
Lashes may be a little long for some
Glue was hard to use
Not as wispy or feathery as Doe
Application was not as easy as Doe and Ardell
♥️ What I love ️
I really appreciated that they came perfectly sized for my eyes - no trimming needed - and the lightweight band curved nicely to my eye shape, making them pretty comfortable to wear all day. I loved how versatile they were for both everyday wear and going out. These are worth trying if you're looking for a reliable, comfortable lash that works for any occasion.
👎 What could be better
While Eyelure lashes landed in my top three, they did come with a few drawbacks worth mentioning. I loved their thin band, but it made application a bit of a challenge (I had to try about 3 times to get them on right). The length may be a bit too dramatic for some at over 8mm. Despite these small issues, they're still a decent option if you're comfortable with a little more effort in applying them and don't mind longer lashes for everyday.
#3 of 10 PRODUCTs
Ardell
4.2/5.0
Lash Type: Reusable Adhesive
Best for: Round and almond shaped eyes
Number of Uses: 1-5
Ease of Application: Very Hard
Check Price
Number of Uses: 20+
Pros
Most economical option
Reputable brand
Very subtle look, good for day time
Lightweight and comfortable
Made from sterilized human hair
Little to no issues with adhesive
Cons
Band was short, didn't go across lid
Application process was messy
Dark band looks like heavy makeup
Had trouble keeping them on all day
♥️ What I love ️
The Ardell lashes are a solid option if you're looking for an affordable, natural-looking set of false lashes. I liked that the light volume gives a subtle boost without being too showy. Even though the band was thicker, they were still comfortable to wear all day.
👎 What could be better
While the Ardell are affordable, they do have some drawbacks. The thin, flimsy band makes them tricky to apply, especially for beginners like myself. Additionally, while the band makes them comfortable on the eye, they were a bit too delicate and I struggled to remove them without breaking them.

The natural, light look is nice for every day, but it doesn't give me much versatility. I kind of wish there was a happier medium that still kept things looking subtle but with a bit more oomph like the Doe lashes.

House of Lashes
4.2/5.0
Lash Type: Reusable Adhesive
Best for: All eye shapes
Number of Uses: 1-5
Ease of Application: Hard
Check Price
Number of Uses: 20+
Pros
Good length for an everyday lash.
Contoured well around my eye
Blended well with my natural lashes
Good for those who want very little volume
Clear band helped enhance the natural look
Cons
Not very long lasting, kept falling off
Lashes felt a little sparse even for day
Took a long time to arrive
Very thin band made application hard
Made from synthetic plastic materials
♥️ What I love ️
House of Lashes earned their spot in my top four mainly because of how natural they looked on the eye. The clear band was a really nice touch - it helped the lashes blend seamlessly with my natural ones, and I loved how well they contoured to my eye shape. These lashes definitely delivered on their promise of a subtle enhancement, which could be perfect if you're looking for just a hint of volume. While they weren't quite as amazing as my top three picks (Doe Beauty, Eyelure, and Ardell), they're worth considering if you prefer a really minimal, barely-there lash look.
👎 What could be better
I ran into some problems with House of Lashes that I just couldn't ignore. The biggest issue was that they wouldn't stay on my eyes - they kept peeling off at the corners all day long, which was super annoying. And while they definitely gave me that natural look I wanted, I think they went a little too natural - they were pretty thin, especially when I compared them to brands like Doe Beauty that still looked natural but gave me more fullness.

The band was so thin that it made them really hard to put on, and the lashes felt kind of fake and plastic-like instead of soft and silky. Oh, and if you order these, just know they take forever to arrive in the mail!.

Velour
4.0/5.0
Lash Type: Reusable Adhesive
Best for: Round and hooded shaped eyes
Number of Uses: Up to 20
Ease of Application: Easy
Check Price
Number of Uses: 20+
Pros
Full voluminous lash
Looked beautiful in pictures
Lightweight and comfortable
Reasonably good reuse vs. others
Great for a night out for a bit more glam
Cons
Expensive
Thicker band looked like thick liner
Beautiful but too glam for everyday
Felt bulky vs. wispy and feathery
Several customer complaints about quality not being consistent
Not a natural looking lash as advertised
♥️ What I love ️
While not a good every day lash as advertised, these lashes are perfect for a fun night out! They give you a super full, voluminous look that's great for taking photos. And the best part is, they're actually pretty comfortable to wear - you barely even notice them. I was able to keep them on all day without any issues. Plus, if you clean and store them properly, you can even reuse them a few times.
👎 What could be better
While these lashes are great for a glamorous night out, they didn't quite fit the more natural look I was going for. Instead of being wispy and feathery, they felt quite bulk and heavy on my eyes. The band is really thick, which makes them look a bit over-the-top for everyday wear. And they ended up being pretty difficult to apply, with the stiff band giving me a hard time. Plus, even after I got them on, they only sometimes stayed stuck as well as I'd like. The quality also seemed a bit inconsistent across the different pairs I tried. This inconsistency, unfortunately, was reported by several other customers as well. For a lash that is on the more expensive side, I would have expected more.

Moxie Lashes
3.7/5.0
Lash Type: Reusable Adhesive
Best for: Round shaped eyes
Number of Uses: 5+
Ease of Application: Hard
Check Price
Number of Uses: 20+
Pros
Comes with liner to glue on lashes
Great packaging for easy storage
Okay option for everyday wear
Best for smaller hooded eyes
Cons
Did not conform well to my eyes
Issues with the glue not working well
Didn't go all the way across my lid
Not easy to apply for beginners
Not as natural looking as other brands
Expensive and didn't get enough wear
Damaged my actual lashes when removing
♥️ What I love ️
The Moxie Lashes are a decent everyday option, especially for those with smaller, hooded eyes. I appreciate that they come with a clear lash liner - that helps create a more natural, daytime-friendly look. And the lashes themselves have a good length for an effortless, natural vibe. They also feel pretty lightweight, which is always a plus. While they tiptoe the line between natural and glam, I was able to make them work for my everyday wear needs.
👎 What could be better
While the Moxie Lashes come with some handy features like the clear lash liner, the lashes themselves just didn't seem to conform well to the shape of my eyelid. And the adhesive had issues actually holding them in place - it was a real struggle to get them to stick properly. I found myself having to re-stick them every few minutes even though they advertise a "Nano Grip" technology.

They also don't extend all the way across my lid, so they ended up looking more like accent lashes than a full set. At the relatively high price point, I expected a more natural, long-lasting look, but these clumped up easily and only lasted for a single use. Plus, as a lash novice, the tricky application process was a real headache.

Lilly Lashes
3.4/5.0
Lash Type: Reusable Adhesive
Best for: Almond and mono lid shaped eyes
Number of Uses: Up to 25
Ease of Application: Easy
Check Price
Number of Uses: 20+
Pros
Soft mink-like feel
Added volume while still looking natural
Relatively easy to put on and remove
Still comfortable even with a thicker band
Cons
Expensive
Certain sections of the lash clumped
Claim 25 uses but only got 2 wears
The band was stiff and did not contour well to my eye
Low-quality adhesive, struggled to stick
Dark-colored band gave appearance of heavy eyeliner
Lashes were VERY thick vs. feathery and wispy
♥️ What I love ️
Lilly Lashes impressed me with their soft, mink-like texture and ability to add volume while still looking fairly natural. They were relatively easy to work with, and despite the thicker band, remained comfortable throughout wear. For those seeking a luxurious, full-volume lash, these could be a great option.
👎 What could be better
While these lashes delivered on drama, they weren't the luxury experience I expected. The lashes were noticeably thick and heavy rather than feathery and wispy, with a dark band that created an intense eyeliner effect. I struggled with application as the stiff band refused to contour naturally to my eye shape. Despite claims of 25 uses, I only managed to get two wears before sections started clumping together. The included adhesive was disappointing, with the lashes struggling to stay put throughout wear. Given the premium price point, the overall quality fell considerably short of expectations.

Huda Lashes
3.0/5.0
Lash Type: Reusable Adhesive
Best for: Almondshaped eyes
Number of Uses: Up to 10
Ease of Application: Moderate
Check Price
Number of Uses: 20+
Pros
Okay subtle natural look
Reasonably easy application
Lash length was not too long or full
Cons
Lash length was a bit long for me
Wispy but in a bad way? Felt messy
Clumped in sections
Band was not actually clear but white
A bit pricey for a regular lash
Did not achieve a natural look
Really struggled getting the inner corner to stick
♥️ What I love ️
These lashes weren't the highest ranked, but they do have some good things going for them. Huda's lashes are nice to wear during the day because they don't look too fake. They're pretty easy to put on, which makes them a good option for beginners. The lashes aren't too long or thick, so they look natural while still making your eyes pop.
👎 What could be better
My experience with Huda Lashes was mixed at best. While they aimed for a wispy look, the execution felt messy and unpolished, with the excessive length overwhelming my eyes. The lashes had a tendency to clump in certain sections, and despite advertising a clear band, it was noticeably white, which affected the natural appearance. The application proved challenging, particularly when trying to secure the inner corners. While Huda Beauty has a strong reputation in the beauty space, these lashes seem a bit overpriced for what you get, especially for regular wear.

KISS Lashes
2.9/5.0
Lash Type: Single Use Adhesive
Best for: Mono lid and round shaped eyes
Number of Uses: Single Use
Ease of Application: Hard
Check Price
Number of Uses: 20+
Pros
Multiple lashes per pack
Their super fine band provides is lightweight and comfortable on the eye
Cons
Struggled with getting them to glue on
Lashes stick out rather than curl up
Clumped in sections
Too voluminous for everyday
Did not blend well with my lashes
Ultra-thin band made application difficult
Lasted all day but only got 1 wear due to how fragile they are
Band was so thin several broke before I could apply them
♥️ What I love ️
There weren't very many things I loved about these KISS lashes. I was excited about trying a well recognized brand and that so many came in one pack, and while their super find lash band did provide comfort it was the source of several quality issues.
👎 What could be better
These lashes were a real struggle from start to finish - the ultra-thin band was so fragile that several broke before I could even get them on my eyes, and the ones that survived only lasted for one wear. When I did manage to apply them (which was tricky enough with that thin band), they stuck out awkwardly instead of curling up naturally, and they were way too dramatic for everyday wear. The lashes clumped together in sections and didn't blend well with my natural lashes at all, making them look obviously fake - definitely not the natural look I was going for!

Easbeauty
2.9/5.0
Lash Type: Single Use Adhesive
Best for: Upturned shaped eyes
Number of Uses: Single Use
Ease of Application: Very Hard
Check Price
Number of Uses: 20+
Pros
Self adhesive lashes, no glue needed
Blended well with my natural lash
Cons
Adhesive did not work at all
Lowest rated lash on Amazon
Lashes looked a bit jagged, not wispy
Uncomfortable and itchy
Bulky band
Cheap and plasticky vs. others
Lashes were not as full as pictured
Was barely able to get them on
Black band looked like VERY heavy liner
♥️ What I love ️
The only things I can say I liked about these lashes were that they blended well with natural lashes when I was able to get them for a few seconds before the adhesives stopped working. One of the pros of these lashes was supposed to be that no glue was needed but that feature did not work as advertised.
👎 What could be better
Basically everything 😭
I had a really frustrating experience with this false lash brand. To start, the adhesive they provide just didn't work at all - I could barely get the lashes to stick, no matter how carefully I applied them. And from what I can tell, these are actually the lowest-rated lashes on Amazon, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence that this was a fluke experience. They also felt incredibly uncomfortable and heavy to wear, thanks to the bulky, cheap band. The band itself was so thick and dark that it basically looked like I had heavy black eyeliner on rather than natural-looking lashes. And even when I did manage to get them applied, the lashes themselves didn't look nearly as full and voluminous as the pictures made them seem. Honestly, I could barely get these lashes on at all, and the whole experience was a real struggle from start to finish. I'd definitely steer clear of this brand - there are so many better options out there that provide a much more comfortable, natural-looking false lash experience

Why I chose Doe Beauty Lashes
After trying out a ton of different false lash brands, I have to say that Doe Beauty's natural lashes are hands down my favorite. The quality is incredible - they're made with the softest Korean silk that feels so luxurious and comfortable on my eyes, even when I have them in all day. That clear band is perfect because it lets my own lashes peek through a little, giving me a fresh, natural look. Plus, they're super versatile and I never had any issues with irritation or the lashes falling off early. For an everyday lash that gives me a boost without feeling over-the-top, Doe Beauty is definitely my number one pick.

The Best Chelsea Boots for Men 2024

Updated September 2024

Want the recap? I wanted to find the most comfortable dress shoes I could wear to work. After speaking to footwear experts and personally testing 20 dress shoe brands I chose the top 8 most comfortable brands. Here are my results:
The Best Men's Dress Shoes 2024

Updated March 2024

Want the TLDR? I tested 10 dress shoe brands to find the most stylish and comfortable option. Here's the winner.

What I look for in a Chelsea

There are literally hundreds of Chelsea Boots out there so identifying which boot is going to be a great addition to my wardrobe is challenging. For me any boot needs to meet three criteria to be considered:

1. Comfortable - You don't have to sacrifice comfort for style. In fact, I'd argue that high quality boots prioritize comfort as part of their design.

2. Aesthetic - Chelsea boots should elevate any look. I want boots that look great with a variety of outfits and in a ton of different settings.

3. Durability -
I live in New York so I put miles on my shoes. If I'm going to invest a couple hundred dollars into a shoe I want it to last.

4. Value - I care about value. I'm flexible on price, but I want my money's worth. If we're going to pay up it needs to reflect in the quality and craftsmanship of the boot.
With that in mind I only reviewed boots that:

1. Rated high on comfort
2. Cost less than $500
3. Available for purchase online
4. History of strong reviews

The factors I evaluated in the Chelsea Boots I tested

✅ Comfort - Can wear it all day, comfortably
✅ Aesthetic -
Looks great today & over time
✅ Versatility -
Suitable for casual + formal
✅ Durability -
Built for daily or regular wear
✅ Quality - Premium material & craftsmanship
✅ Value -
Great bang for your buck

Walking in each shoe on my way to work.

How I evaluated comfort & tested my Chelsea's

Evaluating comfort and durability

  • Insole: I bought calipers to properly measure the thickness of each shoes insole. Thicker insoles provide more comfort and help to alleviate foot pain.
  • Outsole: Is it leather or rubber? What kind (Butyl treated, TPU, EVA, Crepe? These choices affect the feel, look, and durability of the boot.
  • Midsole: This connects the insole to the outsole. It's the primary source of cushioning and shock absorption. It also seriously affects the look of the shoe. Here we pay attention to material, construction method, stack height, heel to toe drop and more.
  • Interior lining: Some shoes feel like you're putting on socks, others chafe. Here we look at the material, thickness, breathability, and cushioning.
  • Collar: This is what rests against your ankle. I look at fit, padding, elasticity, stitching, and if it has a pull tab/how good is the pull tab.
  • Wear test: I use the shoes and see how they feel from extended wear.

How I tested all of the shoes

  • Wear test: I wore all of the Chelsea several times, testing for comfort and feel.
  • Caliper test: I measured the insoles of all the boots to evaluate the thickness and comfort of the sole.
  • Styling test: I wore the boots with different outfits (casual, classic, formal) to see the aesthetic and versatility.
  • Material & construction analysis: I researched and inspect the construction method, leather, and materials.
  • Value score: I gave each boot a value score. With everything you're getting, does the price reflect the value?
  • Overall rank: I summed up all the scores for each boot across every category to get an overall rank.
Amberjack had the thickets insole by far!

The details about quality and durability that you need to know

There are four main components to quality and durability

1. Leather quality: In order of highest to lowest quality of leather you have 1. Full grain leather 2. Top grain leather and 3. Corrected grain leather. You want to look for shoes that have full grain leather as those are highest quality. They retain the full natural grain of the hide, including any imperfections, which contributes to its durability and unique character.

2. Material of the outsole (bottom of shoe): There are four types of soles you can look at 1. TPU 2. EVA 3. Rubber 4. Leather. The most comfortable shoes either use TPU, EVA, or Rubber. The most durable material is TPU. It's the material that is used in hiking, athletic shoes, and performance wear.

3. Construction method: Every shoe on this list is made using cement construction so they the comparisons are apple to apple. There are higher quality construction methods (i.e. goodyear welt or blake stitch) but they are less common in dress shoes designed for comfort.

4. Quality of internal components: Here we look at the quality of the insole/midsole, footbed material, stitching, shape and space of the toe box, and more.

⭐ Overall rating ️

Amberjack, scored high marks across all the factors I cared about. These are some really good looking Chelsea's and the comfort is unbelievable. They've got a narrow, elastic color which looks and feels great. Additionally, the streamlined design looks fantastic without sactificing comfort due to the flexibility of the leather. My favorite part is the combo of the sheepskin interior lining with the thick insole. This shoe is very comfortable. The only downside (which to me is not a real downside) is the lack of a pull tab. I know some guys love that feature, but personally I think it can mess with the look especially if you're wearing a suit. These are easy enough to slip on without the tab. This is my favorite Chelsea and I can't recommend it enough.

👍 What I love ️

(1) Very comfortable: They market comfort and they really do nail it. They've been exceptionally thoughtful about all the details. Specifically, the interior sheepskin lining, the thick insoles, they use a proprietary TPU midsole/outsole which incorporates athletic and hiking technology. You really feel the support without the ugly blockiness some outsoles have that use similar tech. Last, but not least is the flexibility of the leather. They've managed to create an upper that does not rub or chafe. You'll feel great all day in these shoes.

(2) Aesthetic: I'm a fan of their Chestnut color personally. Deep brown pairs well with pretty much anything. Additionally, I love the narrow collar because it looks great with jeans or under a suit. I also am a big fan of the classic Chelsea look with the streamlined design (I prefer this over wider/chunkier Chelseas). They have a unique stitching pattern on the front. I wasn't sure I'd like it, but I was a fan in person. It's fairly understated and I think adds to the look. It's also one of the secrets behind that flexible leather upper.

(3) Premium materials and craftsmanship: The use of A-Grade leather in their boot as well as sheepskin lining on the interior. The quality of the stitching is high and it's difficult to nail the flexibility of that leather upper. The construction is cemented (some guys may prefer a goodyear welt), but they have direct relationships with all of their suppliers. The manufacturer is a high quality Portuguese house that's grown with Amberjack over the years and has a reputation high quality shoes. Additionally, they've invested into a high quality outsole/insole that really sets them a part. You're getting a durable, well made shoe. Their two year warrant is also fairly uncommon and shows they back their quality claims.

(4) Value for Money: There are a lot of boots that look great, use great material, and charge a fair price. What puts Amerjack over the top on value is they do all of that while also being the most comfortable shoe on the market hands down. I've found boots that index on comfort/durability to be a bit more expensive. Amberjack doing all that they do at $190 is impressive.

👎 What could be better

Limited Availability:The inability to purchase on Amazon or try on in-store may be a drawback for some consumers who prefer these shopping methods.

No pull tab: For anyone that values a pull tab these Chelsea's don't sport one. That said, they are easy to slip on and I think the look is cleaner in jeans or a suit pant.

Aggressive Marketing:The frequency of marketing emails could be off-putting to those who prefer less inbox clutter.

Opening the Amberjack box. Sleek!

Full-grain leather - Amberjack leather uses the highest quality and most durable type of leather. It is made from the top layer of the animal hide, which contains the strongest and most tightly packed fibers.

TPU - Amberjack proprietary sole is one of only two brands using a TPU sole. This provide an optimal combination of comfort and durability. It ensures the shoe remains comfortable and functional over time.

Look good, feel good.

  • Soft, breathable leather

  • Slip proof rubber lug sole

What I don't like

  • Most expensive boot on this list

  • Limited color options

  • Requires a little breaking in (leather uppers)

  • Interior leather lining provides okay comfort

⭐ Overall rating

Nisolo makes a beautiful Chelsea boot. If you're okay paying the $270 tag you're getting a well made, sustainably crafted product with the sleek, modern and classic look of a Chelsea boot. The standout is I think all of their color options are beautiful. These boots come in Brown, Mahogany, Black, and Tobacco. They lose some points on comfort and price, but you can't go wrong with this Chelsea.

👍 What I love ️

Excellent color range: The color range is fantastic. It's limited, but the options they have are stunning.

Modern, sleek aesthetic: This is a great looking boot that can work well with any outfit. If you need to dress something up or dress it down, you can sport this with any outfit.

Certified B-Corp: This is becoming more important to people every year, but Nisolo's commitment to a net zero carbon footprint is impressive and difficult.

High quality leather and construction - This boot will handle itself well and can take daily wear thanks to the rubber lug, slip resistant sole. The uppers are leather working group certified as well as water resistant.

👎 What could be better

Expensive pricing:
The high cost can be prohibitive for some buyers, and it will be expensive for many. That said, many find the quality justifies the price. I personally think there are buys out there of better value, but it is a great option.

Requires break-in period: The brand claims there is no break in period required but I personally found the uppers to be a bit stiff on first wear. They should gradually soften and mold to your foot over time, but it will take some wearing.

Limited color range and materials: While the colors are beautiful the number of options limited. For anyone looking to expand their Chelsea boot collection this may present a challenge.

Interior lining is okay: I expected more from Nisolo on comfort to be honest given how much they market it on their site. I think they do pretty well on the leather and the insole, but I wanted a bit more on the lining. It's just not as comfortable as that sheepskin lining on the Amberjacks and for the $270 I'd expect to love how they feel on the inside.

⭐ Overall rating ️

Johnston & Murphy is similar in many ways to the Cole Haan, but I thought the style of the Cole Haan edged it out. That said, for people that prefer a bolder stitching pattern and want a comfortable, versatile dress shoe with a sneaker-like look this is a great choice.

👍 What I love ️

Stylish and professional appearance:
The brand successfully balances modern trends with classic professionalism in their designs.

Comfortable fit: They generally run true to size and you can trust the sizing guides.

👎 What could be better

Requires break-in period: The shoes may need time to soften and conform to the foot. This means you're in for a bit of an uncomfortable experience right out of the gate.

Inconsistent quality: There can be noticeable differences in quality between their budget-friendly and premium lines. The shoe we reviewed that is their go-to daily shoe ranked lower on quality and durability to other brands due to the material and craftsmanship. We also saw quality issues reported more often in their reviews relative to other brands and even with the models we found in the store, scuff marks appeared easily on the soles.

  • Reviews reporting durability issues

⭐ Overall rating ️

Let me start by saying that Cole Haan creates a great shoe. It bridges the gap between the traditional dress shoes and modern comfort technology (i.e. hybrid shoes). They do this at a more accessible price point than brands like Allen Edmonds and Wolf & Shepherd. Their shoe is great for anyone that is looking for a comfortable dress shoe with a sportier look.

👍 What I love ️

Stylish and contemporary designs:
Cole Haan gives you a polished shoe that has more of a sneaker like/athletic appearance. If you want something that leans more casual these are a great option.

Comfortable cushioning: The ZeroGrand is very comfortable. They felt awesome to try on and were very lightweight.

Good value for money: I think the quality is lower than the Amberjacks, but its definitely much higher than some of the budget brands like Rockport/Clark's/etc. You won't have these shoes for life but you'll get decent wear out of them.

Lightweight construction:Their shoes often feel more like sneakers than traditional dress shoes, which keeps your foot feeling fresh.

Wide range of colors and styles: They have a ton of different options for colors.

👎 What could be better

Basic design: Not a lot of variation. Overall I felt that the design and aesthetic of this shoe was a little basic. Specifically the stitching around the sole and the stark contrast between the leather and the sole.

Some durability and concerns: May not hold up as well to frequent, heavy use compared to brands like Amberjack, Allen Edmonds, and Wolf & Shepherd. This was a consistent complaint found amongst reviews and you can tell when you're wearing the shoe.

Quality concerns: This is an affordable shoe (I'd say its in the middle on price) but I don't think the quality justifies the price. Specifically, I think the longevity on the shoe is lower and its less of an investment.

⭐ Overall rating ️

ECCO has an insanely comfortable shoe. It's a close race between this and Amberjack for comfort. For someone who values comfort above all and wants to stay within a very tight budget this is a great option.

👍 What I love ️

Superior comfort and support: ECCO shoes are renowned for their out-of-the-box comfort, requiring little to no break-in period. Can confirm these feel like clouds on your feet.

High-quality materials: The brand uses premium leathers and innovative synthetic materials that contribute to both durability and comfort. They will last you a long time.

Great for all-day wear: The construction and materials make these shoes ideal for those who are on their feet for extended periods.

Excellent for walking and standing: The ergonomic design and cushioning provide great support for someone that is always on their feet.

Durable sole construction: ECCO's soles are built to last, often outlasting the uppers of the shoes.

👎 What could be better

Design is not as modern or stylish: I personally think these shoes are not very nice and I would not wear them at work. This is a highly functional shoe and does not pay as much attention to form in my opinion.

⭐ Overall rating ️

Wolf & Shepherd has designed a luxury shoe and priced it accordingly, but I think they miss the mark on style and versatility. This is a very comfortable shoe and the quality is pretty good, but in no way does it justify the $395 price tag in my opinion with the big blocky sole, the lack of versatility (looks like a traditional dress shoe), and the quality of the construction should be much higher given the price.

👍 What I love ️

Very comfortable: Wolf & Shepherd does a great job of making a comfortable dress shoe. You get great support from the TPU sole, the collar is snug, the insoles are great. It's really well done.

Quality materials: The leather is A-Grade, the sole is TPU, and they've invested in their insoles.

Classic design: Barring the blocky sole this looks like a class dress shoe and is a great fit for someone who wants something more traditional.

👎 What could be better

Not great value: I find the price for the offering to be completely off the mark. The quality should be higher and the style/design should be nicer given what they are charging.

Limited color options: They only have two color options for this shoe making the selection extremely limited.

Limited color options: They only have two color options for this shoe making the selection extremely limited.

Blocky sole: I am not a fan of the blocky sole. I think its extremely visible and draws too much attention.

Durability issues: I'm surprised at how many durability issues are reported given the price point of the shoe, but this was another negative mark for me.

⭐ Overall rating ️

Rockport successfully combines the comfort of athletic shoes with the style of dress shoes, offering a good balance of functionality and affordability. They're particularly well-suited for those in business casual environments or who prioritize comfort in their dress shoes.

👍 What I love ️

Comfortable and durable: Rockport's use of athletic shoe technology results in shoes that are comfortable right out of the box and built to last.

Good value for money: The brand offers decent quality shoes at a more accessible price point than many competitors.

Lightweight designs: Many models feel significantly lighter than traditional dress shoes, reducing foot fatigue.

👎 What could be better

Fit is difficult to assess: Like some other brands, sizes can vary between different styles, making online purchases challenging.

Some designs may be too basic: While functional, I personally find Rockport's styles lack the sophistication of higher-end dress shoe brands.

May not be suitable for very formal occasions: The casual-leaning designs might not be appropriate for the most formal business or social events.

Durability issues: This brand was the most cited for durability issues with wear on the soles and stitching often reported.
